Smore -- Amazing online flyers

Need a flyer for an event or gathering? Use Smore. This free site allows users to create flyers that are posted online and sharable with a link or through social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Your flyers can contain audio, images, videos, link, text or any combination of these items. Users can keep their flyers public for others to see or make them private for only people with links to view

Use this site to advertise your events in a way that a print flyer cannot. Have students create posters for projects using Smore. Add a Smore to your website for special interest information. This site has many possibilities.

Gradecam - Amazing!!

Yesterday I blogged about Gradecam. This site provides grading via your doc camera or web cam. It works brilliantly! And it does exactly what they claim. With a single button I transferred all of the graded items into my gradebook. I was amazed and my students were too. We also discovered that it reads pen, no pencils required. Give this free tool a try!

Grade Cam

In a session today at TCEA 2013, I heard about GradeCam. This site gives teachers printable scantron type grids that are scannable via a web cam, doc cam, or the iPad app. The software scans, grades, and analyzes each student score with tons of ways to see reports and check for class trends and understanding.

To start using this software, one must setup classes. It was very simple. I exported a CSV file from my gradebook and imported it to GradeCam. In 5 minutes I had all of my classes ready to go. The site says it is simple to populate the grades to any electronic gradebook. I haven't tried that feature yet, but I will tomorrow!

Teachers can use this site for free, but are limited to only 10 questions per quiz. For a small fee, the account can be upgraded to allow 100 questions per quiz. The information this software can provide for comprehension and data analysis is invaluable for any teacher.
